It’s time for a mid-year check-in.
It seems like it was only yesterday that the holidays were slowly fading into the distance and we’d just kicked off our brand new year.
All of 2023 lay before us, sparkling and full of opportunity.
Collectively, we committed ourselves to our objectives and began acting on our plans to see those objectives come to fruition.
As the months have passed and we’ve quickly moved towards summer, the hope is that we’ve honored our commitments, both to ourselves and our businesses. And that we can look back on the first half of the year with satisfaction and a real sense of achievement.
But what if life has been moving at such a high rate of speed that you’ve hardly had time to track your activity and accomplishments? What if you don’t have the organizational systems in place to stay focused and on target? What if you’re just trying to remember what day of the week it is, let alone if you've remembered to draft your next newsletter?
A mid-year review is a great opportunity for you to take advantage of the slower pace of the summer months and also check in with yourself AND your business at the same time.
It allows you the room to take a breath and detail your overall progress thus far. For you to troubleshoot and address challenges in your business now, rather than dealing with them in the post-vacation season. You can then come up with viable solutions to solve those problems.
You can feel good about taking action and being proactive in your business, knowing that once the new school term starts and parents and business owners are once again in the back-to-work mentality, you’ll already be IN that mindset.
Ultimately, taking the time to do a mid-year review is an incredible gift that you can give both yourself and your business. Because as the summer season fades and fall is on the horizon, you’ll have clarity, focus, and be well-prepared to maximize the remainder of 2023.
